I am George A. McCaskill, a Director of Visual Exemplars Ltd. (VEL), where I enjoy the position of Chief Technology Officer. This blog mixes personal musings, reviews and other jottings with occasional mild evangelism for VEL’s flagship Perspector™ product, an exciting creative tool for producing 3D and animated scenes for use in MS PowerPoint presentations.

In the past I’ve done Computer Science research at Edinburgh (PhD 1987) and Strathclyde universities, and I was the second developer on board the 1993 startup QSS Ltd. which created the DOORS requirements management tool. QSS was acquired by Telelogic in 2000, where I worked as Director of Research and Technology until November 2006.

I live in Edinburgh, Scotland, and I like to thump a drum kit when I’m not messing about with software.
